Recently IBM released a beta refresh to the IBM WebSphere Application Server V7.0 XML Feature Pack which supports XPath 2.0, XSLT 2.0, and XQuery 1.0 that was specification complete across the three standards. Specifically, the following is supported: - Full XQuery 1.0 Support, including -- Full support for "minimal conformance" plus the following optional features ---- Full Axis Feature ---- Serialization feature - Full XPath 2.0 Support, including -- XPath 1.0 Backwards Compatibility Mode -- Scheme Awareness - Full XSLT 2.0 Support, including -- XSLT 1.0 Backwards Compatibility Mode -- Schema Awareness More recently, another refresh was posted that included the IBM Thin Client for XML with WebSphere Application Server. This thin client is intended to be used in clients that connect to WebSphere Application Servers. Another benefit of the thin client, while the feature pack is in open beta, is that it gives a quick and easy way to evaluate the technology.
