  2. Hi,

It is better to use DBPing utility.

    what can be done is

In command prompt go to the weblogic bin directory.

    ping <
    ping oracle ashok true ser

servicename should be obtained from the admin. It is the servicename of our database.

give in that fromat and check if it is sucessefully connected then u can easily connect using weblogic.

Also in the environmental path include the license directory of weblogic "c:\weblogic\license;".
  3. Hi Ramana,

    If You are using oracle 8.x path has to set to d:\bea\wlserver6.0\bin\oci816_8;

Check in your system for oracle any port has set. if not don't use it at the time of creating DataSource (Connection pool ) in config.xml or thru console.

if it is set you have to use 1521 as port in the config file.

    try out following options

to check it type this in at windows commandpromt

java utils.dbping oracle user pass oracle@

    if get success ok else

    java utils.dbping oracle user password

before this u should set the path and classpath.

  4. Were you able to verify if you have a valid weblogic license ??

Look into license.bea under your installed directory.
  5. I am giving you a crude / bullshit sol . Hope it works.

create a new directory , copy all the .dll files under your d:\bea ( and sub-directories ).

Add the directory to PATH or start WLS from command prompt
    specifying -Djava.library.path
