Eclipse plugins are very nice to have. Not because of their overall poor quality, but because some gems will always rise to the top.

Eclipse has dozens of plugins. Are any of them best-of-breed tools?

I find eclipse much easier than IntelliJ. I have been using it for more than 2 years now. It is not confusing at all to use perspectives. You just have to get used to them.

I think eclipse's editor is the best choice, but very pool support j2ee development. Some j2ee plugin has pool function and bad performance, my eclipse is platform + jdt, nothing more than.
