New TSS Features - What's on Your Wishlist?
Now that the cluster launch has settled, we have had a little time to put in a few features that we needed.
These include:
- RSS Feeds: You can now get access to our news, discussion forums, and patterns areas via RSS. Visit: http://www.theserverside.com/rss for more information on the feeds available
- AutoLogin: Since we are using cookies for logins, you will now notice the option "Persist login as a cookie". If you check this, you will be automatically logged into the site. You will know that you are logged in by a "Welcome
" message in the left menu bar
- New Message Notification: I always want to know if a new message has been added to a thread, and found myself "noting" how many messages were in there. Now the thread link contains the number of messages, so when it changes, the link will show "not visited", signalling the fact that there is new content there.
We have many, many new features that we will start working on. Expect to see more personalization, a new rightbar, a threaded view of messages, email integration, and many many more items popping up.
If you have any features that you would like to see, email us, or post to the Portal Feedback forum
Sincerely,
Dion Almaer
Chief Architect
