Yes it does. Currently now with the DR1 release we rely on reflection and we also have a lot of object creations that are going on. With our DR2 release we're looking into further bytecode manipulation to remove reflection and also to improve the base performance of our AOP framework by eliminating object creations. An interesting benchmark was just done that is available on our AOP forum. Somebody did a benchmark with our DR1 release with AspectJ and the performance was very similar. So with our DR2 release, we found we already in improved performance by a factor of 6 so that benchmark is going to prove in our favor.
