| EJB 3.0 Work in Progress Discuss this Video One of the main goals of Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0 is to improve the EJB architecture by reducing its complexity for the developer. As a result of recent work in the EJB Expert Group, EJB is therefore currently undergoing a number of major changes. Some of the new features that we will discuss include: a POJO- and POJI-based view of components; the use of Java language metadata and programmatic defaults to replace the role of the deployment descriptor and to abstract out container dependencies and JNDI access; removal of requirements for callback interfaces and Home interfaces; and simplification of the model for persistence. |
