General J2EE: Reading/writing files in Weblogic 6.0 using JSP

  1. Reading/writing files in Weblogic 6.0 using JSP (2 messages)

    Hello everyone!
I have a Web Application in my Weblogic 6.0 server. In this Web-app I have a JSP file trying to access a .properties file for reading and writing. The problem is that I can read but not write/update the file, I get a "FileNotFoundException (access denied)" exception.
The .properties file is in the Web-app folder, and I guess this is the reason why the file can not be updated. Where should this file be placed to be updated by a JSP page?

    Thanks in advance,
    dgij

PD The .properties file is a flat file containing name=value pairs.
  2. Hi,

you should hav a look on the weblogic.policy in your weblogic directory.

  3. u should add the property file path as a property in the startWebLogic.sh file...when weblogic starts up, this file path will be in memory and u can use a helper class to load the file and read the properties...
