    Hi,
    I wanted to know ,how is the data persisted in entity beans.
    (i.e)whatb do you mean by data persistence in entity beans.
    According to definition of entity beans they say it represents the data,stores the data.
    I want to know where does it store the data.Then why the use of database .
    Please can some one would clarify my doubt.

    Data persistence in entity bean means that data is live in a storage medium all the time, the medium is is the database. Live means these datas can survive even a application server crash.

    In other words the data in the database is represented in the form of java objects, which when you change it will change the underlying database.
