    Hi,
    I wanted to know ,how is the data persisted in entity beans.
    (i.e)whatb do you mean by data persistence in entity beans.
    According to definition of entity beans they say it represents the data,stores the data.
    I want to know where does it store the data.Then why the use of database .
    Please can some one would clarify my doubt.

    The entity bean can persist the data into a relational database, a flat file, etc... It all depends on the configuration and implementation of your EJB container.

    On why you'd use a database, some databases like Oracle9i include an EJB container (OC4J).
