I am getting confused with the way cmp work.my first question -> whether it is using dbms or not?.
if yes how it connects to dbms(suppose i am using oracle).
if not how it stores data( In realtime it requires huge space to store data).

What exactly it does with container managed persistance?

If your server has max no of executable threads of 10 per second maximum of 10 requests can be server at a time to that server per secode. So if you have an entity bean having maximum of 100 in pool and each request is going to use 10 beans. Then maximum of 100 beans can be used for all requests. If you put more than that there is no use. So it all depends on your requirement.
