The net of the article is that commercial products can increase productivity and therefore reduce the total cost of implement a project.
Commercial vendors such as BEA go even further to say the customers not only save on development, but there can be other large savings at runtime, such as the amount of hardware required, management costs and others.
So, is free too expensive?
