I find it very annoying to try to read pages like this one

on a "small" screen (800/600) because there is code in there that forces the page to a width wider then 800. This means horizontal scrolling (in opera) in a reading text = ridiculous.
I propose you look here for a solution http://wiki.opensymphony.com/space/WebWork2+QuickStart+Guide. Here, only code blocks require horizontal scrolling, the normal text flows "inside" the screen.
