EJB programming & troubleshooting: public constructor in EJB1.1

  1. public constructor in EJB1.1 (2 messages)

    Guys

EJB 1.1 asks programmers to use 'a public constructor that takes no parameters'..

    WebLogic says
"EJB classes must include a public constructor that takes no parameters. WebLogic Server uses this constructor to create new instances of the EJB"

What is the use to make a public constructor?

    Thanks

  2. Hi,
APPLICATION SERVER (WELOGIC SERVER) USES THE CONSTRUCTOR WITH NO PARAMETERS TO CREATE THE POOL OF EJB'S.
SO INODER TO SUPPORT THE POOLING , CONSTRUCTOR WITH NO PARAMETERS WAS MADE MADITORY.

  3. public constructor in EJB1.1[ Go to top ]

The container makes use of the newInstance() method to create instances of the class and this requires a no-arg public constructor.
