  1. Error 500 while accessing a jsp (1 messages)

    Hi,

We have developed a java application with the login page being a jsp. Whenever we try accessing the login page, it's giving an error 500 (server encountered unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request). The trace seems to suggest that it's not able to loccate the dependant xmlparser.class(part of xml4j.jar) is missing. But we have included it in the classpath. Can there be any other reason why this might be happening? Please help if you can. I have pasted the error message obtained in the log.

    Thanks,
    Chidu.

  2. Hi,

    The error is clearly stated.

    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:com/ibm/xml/framework/XMLParser
It is not able to locate ur XMLParser. Why not you check the path also after including. Please verify that and it should be OK. Actually finding the JSP is more complicated than a servlet and that too you can compile the JSP only during in most cases, though it compiles into a class file finally.
