    Hi!

    When I execute my JSP file I am getting the following error.
    ===========
    HTTP Error 405
    405 Method Not Allowed

    The method specified in the Request Line is not allowed for the resource identified by the request. Please ensure that you have the proper MIME type set up for the resource you are requesting.

    Please contact the server's administrator if this problem persists
    ==============

    What could be the reason, and how do I over come this. Pl. help ASAP

    Which are you using "post" or "get". If you are using post try using get.

    Thanks Pinky!.

    I have tried both the methods, but the error did not get solved that way.

    However, our Server space provider, reportedly reset Tomcat, and the problem was solved.

    Nevertheless, I would like to know the reasons for such error to occur, so that I can handle situations.

    I am trying to create a calender where people can post their events for the website. But I keep recieve a 405 Method Not Allowed error. I don't know how to go about this, any suggestions?
