I left my .com startup as a senior middleware architect to focus on my webhosting company. One of my offerings is J2EE managed hosting. I'm looking for feedback in a few areas and I was hoping this forum might give it to me.
What monitoring tools do you think customers would like to see me using? Do you think they want real time monitoring of database connections? Garbarge collection? Do you think I should invest in something like Precise/Indepth?
Has anyone had any experiences with similiar services? Anyone have any horror stories or success stories?
Any feedback appreciated, thank you for your time.

I'm suprised you didn't get any replies to this topic. I'm working for a managed services company and I'm investigating the very same thing. Everyone wants application management but I don't get many specifics.
The management software is very expensive!
