Having trouble with thread dumps?
I wrote a very useful profiler - Samurai.
This is the world's first GUI-based thread dump analyzer which works like a GUI-based "tail -f".
With Samurai, you even don't have to look into std/stderr output to analyze thread dumps.
Samurai will pick up thread dumps from your log file automatically and visualize ,colorize threads based on each thread's status.
Samurai provides a very unique chronological view of each threads which helps you to understand "What is this thread doing?".
Samurai also gives you a visualized "-verbose:gc" log.
Recently Samurai supported IBM's javacore files which are really painful to read.
have fun!
