Is it possible to transfer a web application from iPlanet Web Server 6.0 to BEA WebLogic Server 8.1? Anyone knows what to configure and edit? Do I only need to change the deployment descriptors? Sorry for asking so much questions, I'm new in this area.Threaded Messages (3)

Looks like weblogic does not support the Iplanet webserver directly. I guess migration option is manual so need migrate the war deployment descriptors to weblogic. http://e-docs.bea.com/platform/suppconfigs/configs/mature.html Sun Java System Web Server 6.0 End-of-Support Announcement The Sun Java System Web Server 6.0 (formerly Sun ONE Web Server 6.0) has reached product End of Life (EOL) as of 11/11/03. It will reach product End of Service Life (EOSL) as of 5/31/09, and will no longer be supported by WebLogic Server at this time. For more information about product EOL and EOSL for the Sun Java System Web Server 6.0, contact Sun Microsystems. Bhagvan K http://www.jroller.com/page/bhagvank -
