Please give me an opinion:
Using finder methods on an EntityBean CMP to populate a JSP page.
I developed a JSP which calls a Bean which in turn calls a finder method on an EntityBean to populate a JSP page.
Could be alot of overhead invoking these beans. Do you need all the data or just a few fields? If you only need a few fields then you might just want to return the necessary fields in a vector and instantiate an entity bean when you nedd to modify it's data. It also depends on your container, some will do a separate query for each bean created, some will have better optimization. Could the data that these beans rep be shared simultaneously by multiple clients? if so then entity beans will be cached and can be a good idea.
