XimpleWare has released VTD-XML 2.0, an XML parser described as a "non-extractive XML processing API." VTD-XML stores an XML document in memory and prepares tokens as offsets into the document, which makes "parsing" very quick. Changes in VTD-XML 2.0 include an overwrite capability for XML and lexical comparisons between tokens and Strings. Resources on VTD-XML's home page include a benchmark and a PDF with an API overview.
