I am pleased to announce the release of Impala 1.0M5, which introduces many API and configuration improvements into the framework. Impala is a dynamic module framework for Java enterprise application development, building on the Spring framework. With a focus on simplicity and productivity, Impala radically transforms application development using Spring and related technologies. Impala is the simplest and most TDD-friendly way to bring dynamic modularity into Java applications, making it possible to build large, complex applications which are still simple to test and productive to develop. Following 1.0M5, only minor changes in internal APIs are now expected prior to the 1.0 final release. The 1.0M5 release also features improvements which make it much easier to configure Impala-based applications, and to add your own extensions to the framework. While Impala is still very heavily based on the Spring framework, 1.0M5 now also makes it possible to plug in other runtime frameworks into Impala's dynamic module loading mechanism.
