In a web services environment, the segregation of web services into seperate EAR or WAR files has advantages. However, I am concerned that application servers may not handle a large number of deployment files well. Does anyone have any experiance or guidence in the upper limit of the number of WAR or EAR files that are practical? What problems have people seen? Our infrastructure includes Tomcat WebSphere and WebLogic, though Tomcat is our current focus for Web Services.
