The soapui-team has published a first snapshot of the upcoming soapui 1.6, with initial integrations for jbossws, jwsdp/jaxrpc, jwsdp/jaxws, axis 1.x, axis 2, xfire 1.1, xmlbeans 2.x, .net 2.0 and gsoap.

The integrations allow Web-Service developers to directly invoke the corresponding command-line tools for generating client and server artifacts from WSDLs and WSDLs from existing code, releiving them from the hassle of setting up classpaths, batch files, etc.. and enabling them to easily evaluate different toolkits and configurations. Configurations are saved after each invocation making it easy to rerun the tools as needed.

Please read more on the soapui tool integrations at, an overview of other new functionality in this snapshot-release can be found at

The snapshot is currently available only with webstart, an official beta will be released by the end of May including offline binaries and a windows installer.

We are of course thankful for all feedback (and bug-reports!) on the above and new or existing soapui functionality..
