AJAXian.com has announced that the conference site for their next show in Boston, October 23-25 2006, has gone live. This conference features speakers and sessions covering user experience, implementation issues, accessibility, great technical content, and even fun. Early registration has goodies like a branded iPod Shuffle, two books, gift bags, cool binders, and a guarantee you won't have to worry about making it in, since there seating limits. The conference focuses on AJAX, which means you're looking at various backend technologies. It looks to be an excellent conference. TSS will be in attendance at the show where we'll be filming tech talks and numerous technical sessions. All recorded interviews and sessions will be posted on TSS in the months shortly after the conference.Threaded Messages (7)

A second look at the site reveals it was thrown together quickly and it's obvious purpose is to distribute AJAX-related advertizing.A very good AJAX Experience Site

Using AJAX for enhancing user experience on web SITES is completely OK. But I am sick of AJAX web APPLICATIONS that are slow, buggy, clumsy and can't compare with classic windowing UI apps that talk to server with some service-oriented remoting technology like WebServices/CORBA/RMI. -
So, where's the experience[ Go to top ]

So, where's the AJAX experience in the conference website? Walk like you talks and all that. Cheers, Marc -

Sorry, ya can't buy my love. I remain unconvinced by this new "lets put AJAX all over the place" software-vendor fed trend which depends almost entirely on how browsers currently do and will support the JavaScript language: which is far from great at the moment. Just my 2cents. -

Make that 4 cents. I'm going to have to agree with "eyechart" on this one. Ajax isn't going to change my life for the better.Early registration has goodies like a branded iPod Shuffle, two books, gift bags, cool binders
