Tomcat
  1. Tomcat (2 messages)

    Hi everybody:
    I'm developing a JSP application,Tomcat 3.3a and IIS4, with access to DB. To connect with the DB, I'm using the object sun.jdbc.rowset.CachedRowSet. But Tomcat shows an exception when is trying to compile the JSP. This is the message:

    org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile C:\Tomcat\work\DEFAULT\ROOT\login_1.java:0: Class javax.sql.RowSet not found in class sun.jdbc.rowset.CachedRowSet.
    import javax.servlet.*;
    ^
    C:\Tomcat\work\DEFAULT\ROOT\login_1.java:0: Class javax.sql.RowSetInternal not found in class sun.jdbc.rowset.CachedRowSet.
    import javax.servlet.*;
    ^
    C:\Tomcat\work\DEFAULT\ROOT\login_1.java:80: Class javax.sql.RowSet not found in void _jspService(javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest, javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse).
                              pageContext.setAttribute("BeanDB", BeanDB, PageContext.SESSION_SCOPE);

    I think is beacause i don't have the j2ee.jar with the javax.sql.RowSet, so I believe I have to add this jar to Tomcat.
    Could somebody tell me how to add a jar into the Tomcat, and/or if this error is caused for this reason?.
    Thank you.

    The default location for JAR files in a webapp is in the WEB-INF\lib folder.

    Hope this helps.
