EJB programming & troubleshooting: Best Design Approach for JSP

  1. Best Design Approach for JSP (3 messages)

Why is running "queries and other processing etc" in JSP's and Servlets (frontend) considered a bad design approach.?

Will the performance be better if I push all the database transactions to middleware and make the JSP light? and why is that?

Mainly JSP is meant for presentation purpose. Its not adviced to have such logics in JSP. In future if u wanna change some logic u need to modify the JSP, instead u can have class/bean which will the part. In future if u wanna change the implementation u can modify the class with out touching the presentation and vice versa also. This is what my understanding.
    Thanks & Good luck,
