Windward Studios Releases Windward Reports Version 2.1
Boulder, CO, May 17, 2004 - Windward Studios is pleased to announce the release of Windward Reports 2.1, a J2EE report generation product which produces reports in a wide range of export formats, including PDF, RTF, HTML (3.2 or with .CSS), and TXT.
Version 2.1 adds the following features:
- Windward Reports can now run in a headless Java environment such as a Unix server with no X-Windows loaded. Previously, Windward Reports needed the user interface component to determine which fonts were available to format line breaks and text placement for PDF reports. Windward Reports now has native support to handle PDF formatting without needing to make an external call to Java.
- This is a configurable option so if a user prefers, Windward Reports can still use Java to format breaks and for special font support.
Windward Studios offers a free trial of Windward Reports. For more information, please visit http://www.windwardreports.com

There are a lot of tools for reporting for J2EE which are freely available.
You can have a look at this one: Power Reports : https://powerreport.dev.java.net -
