News: Belgium's Devoxx 2015 is bigger and better than ever: A Day 1 retrospective

  1. We just had our big conference blow-out in North America with JavaOne 2015, but not to be outdone by the Europeans, Devoxx 2015 is hitting new highs and expanding beyond their britches in Belgium.

The big topics? Microservices and discussions about Docker containers are fairly pervasive, as they were at JavaOne 2015. And of course, the ongoing discussion about what to expect from Java 9, and what to wish for in Java 10.

Geertjan Wielenga of NetBeans fame is on the ground, pressing the flesh and reporting back to us on all of the interesting happenings and developments that are happening at Devoxx 2015, with the first article in his series having been just published:

Containers and microservices take center stage as Devoxx 2015 kicks off

There will be more from Geertjan in the near future, so check back to hear more about what's going on at Devoxx 2015.

  3. Recursion sucks...[ Go to top ]

This is exactly why I tell developers not to use recursion. It always causes trouble! thanks.

  4. I attended the university sessions. The JavaEE 7 in Action session was presented by Reza Rahman. Arun Gupta presented Docker and kubernetes session.
